Hyde Park Central School District 2018 Capital Project
The 2018 Capital Project at Hyde Park Central School District focused on addressing infrastructure needs while also enhancing STEAM programming. A notable aspect of this $26.2 million initiative was the establishment of a new science pod at FDR High School – this involved the complete renovation of a two-story, 44,000 square foot addition dating back to 1976, which was repurposed to accommodate the new science facilities.
Haviland Middle School saw enhancements with the renovation of five science classrooms, including the transformation of two general classrooms into specialized science labs.
Critical upgrades were made to aging infrastructure, particularly the replacement of 50+ year old heating and ventilation systems at FDR High School, Haviland Middle School, and North Park Elementary School.
