Beggars Group Corporate Offices & Recording Studio

Beggars Group USA serves as the North American division of Beggars Group, a British independent record label collection founded in 1977 by Martin Mills, with headquarters in London, England. Beggars Group USA is responsible for the distribution, promotion, and marketing of Beggars Group’s artists and releases in the United States and Canada. The labels under Beggars Group USA have been influential in the indie music scene, representing a diverse range of artists across various genres, including alternative rock, electronic, experimental, and more.

The Palombo Group was selected by Beggars Group USA as Construction Manager for the construction of their New York Office at 134 Grand Street in Soho. The 20,000 square foot project was a complex full demolition and rebuild encompasses an underground music recording studio; a cellar level lounge with stadium stairs & listening rooms; ground floor open offices; and custom steel & wire glass storefront offices on the newly constructed mezzanine level – all connected with flying steel and concrete staircases.

The materials that echo throughout the design include reclaimed wood, vintage wire glass & steel storefronts, custom steel & solid surface desk systems, and tin ceilings.
