Project Description

As a smaller municipality, the Town of Stanford had been storing their maintenance trucks in sheds before the construction of their Highway Department Garage. Construction management was not needed and The Palombo Group served as general contractors for the project. It came with a budget of $1,428,000, which covered the construction of a building containing seven maintenance bays along with two floors of offices for the Hwy Department supervisor and their staff. As a simple structure, the offices are contained within what would have been an eighth maintenance bay. The new building allows for maintenance and storage of the vehicles to take place in one, centralized location where the staff is readily available. The trucks that are stored there are used for salting the roads in the Winter and maintaining them during the months of better weather. With their new garage and offices, the Town of Stanford Highway Department is equipped with what they need to serve the constituency for many years to come.

The project was completed under budget and on time in March of 2012.
