Project Description
The new Poughkeepsie Public Library, located on Boardman Road, was built to replace the Arlington branch on Haight Avenue. The building is divided into two main sections: the public library in the front, and the offices and storage for The Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District in the back. The library portion boasts a conference room with dividers on the right, a childrens room adjacent, an adult section off to the left, and a teen section directly upon entering the building. Bright colors, large windows, and high ceilings help to create an open, inviting and uplifting environment for the entire community.
This project was completed on time and under budget in April 2015.
