Project Description
The Palombo Group had the privilege of providing Construction Management services for Rough Trade, which is an exciting 15,000 square foot music store and venue location, located in Brooklyn, NY. The building itself is converted from an old prop warehouse, providing an open environment with an industrial feel. The interior spaces of the building (such as store spaces and offices) were created using retired shipping containers; adding an element of greenness to the project. The containers were cut and stacked to provide multiple levels and to take advantage of the high industrial ceiling. The main store space leads into an open area for venues with a sound booth, bars, bathrooms and other spaces all made from recycled containers.The 1.5 Million dollar project was completed on time and under budget in the Summer of 2014.
